Designing and building Scratch's complete launch experience — branding, marketing site, and mobile credit application for veterinary financing.
The Problem
Pet owners often face unexpected, high-cost veterinary bills with little time to plan. Traditional credit assessment is slow and excludes many applicants — leaving both pet owners underserved and veterinary offices with unpaid care. Scratch set out to fix this with a financial services platform offering fast, simple credit assessment and financing options at the point of care.
Process
The engagement followed Scratch’s full product development arc — brand blueprint and concept exploration, UX and UI design, front-end and back-end development, and QA. The credit application was designed mobile-first, optimized for millennials applying on their phones in waiting rooms, often under emotional stress.
What We Built
Interactivism designed and developed all aspects of the Scratch launch experience: brand identity, responsive marketing website, a mobile-first credit application web app, POS print materials, and business cards. By leveraging both traditional credit scoring data and nontraditional underwriting inputs, Scratch could approve more applicants than competing services — meaning more pets treated and more revenue for participating veterinary offices.

Results
Within 12 months of launch, Scratch had signed 650 participating veterinary clinics, was processing $1M in loans monthly, and generating $1M in annual revenue. The company went on to raise $73.1M in total funding.
