Erik brings 20+ years of experience designing and shipping digital products and services, allowing him to add unique value to every aspect and stage of the product design process.

With a degree in anthropology, and graduate studies in creative business management and organizational development, Erik started his career in Design Research, but has expanded his toolbox over the years to span the full width of User Experience Design.

Before founding Interactivism in 2012, Erik worked in and around the LA startup / technology scene with companies like Idealab, Iconmobile, Sony Design Center, Myspace, and Science where he designed the UX for the launches of Dollar Shave Club, Dog Vacay, and MeUndies.

As a consultant, Erik help clients develop brand- & product propositions that are informed and inspired by real people’s needs, behaviors and motivations.

Petra is a human-centered designer with extensive experience building foundational digital products across Search, Social Media, AdTech, FinTech, Blockchain, and AI. Her focus is on complex systems where design decisions shape how people work, communicate, and organize. Born in Sweden, she brings a perspective shaped by systems designed to work for everyone.

Outside of Interactivism, she is designing ethical civic infrastructure in Altadena, helping her neighbors self-govern and rebuild after the Eaton Fire. She is a mentor at Dharmabridge and an investor in Qubits Ventures, backing scientific founders at the frontier of quantum computing, AI, and next-generation infrastructure.
