Designing the UX for EventUp's venue marketplace — onboarding, search, booking, and tiered account system for an Airbnb-style events platform.
The Platform
EventUp is an Airbnb-style marketplace connecting event venue owners with event organizers. Finding the right venue for a private event — whether a corporate meeting, birthday party, or wedding — had traditionally been a time-consuming, fragmented process. EventUp brought the supply and demand sides of the venue market together in a single, searchable platform.
What We Designed
Interactivism designed the UX for EventUp’s core product experience: onboarding flows for both venue owners and event organizers, search and browse results pages with faceted filtering for narrowing down venue options, venue detail pages, a booking system, and a tiered member account system to support different user roles and permission levels.
Outcome
EventUp raised a seed round of $1.8M in 2012 and continued to grow organically from there. The experience Interactivism designed gave both sides of the marketplace a clear, trustworthy path — from first search to confirmed booking.
