Erik Wingren

I make my clients successful by helping them build interactive experiences that are useful, useable and fun.

Erik Wingren was born in Sweden, grew up all over, and although he misses summers in Sweden and indian summers in San Francisco, he is now living in Los Angeles.

With an education in Anthropology and Business, Erik co-founded Basho in 1999 — a San Francisco based Design Research firm, working with European executive teams looking to learn from the creativity and innovation of Silicon Valley during the dot-com boom and bust.

In 2003 Erik worked with boutique brand research consultancy Tattoo, helping clients like Banana Republic, Condé Nast, Allure, Teen Vogue, SBC and Yahoo define, optimize and defend their brand propositions.

2004-2005 Erik worked independently as a UX Research & Design consultant with US and European companies such as Bluegrid Technologies, Index:Award, XLR8or, Snap and Omnilux.

In 2005 he moved to Los Angeles to head up Brand & User Experience Research for Snap.com at the Pasadena based incubator Idealab, helping to transform the company from niche search play to one of the fastest growing distributed online media networks in the world.

As of 2008 Erik is again working independently with clients such as Snap.com, Iconmobile, Microsoft, Xbox and Tsavo Media.
